Significance: Neptunes was a legendary oceanfront club located on Dune Road in the Hamptons, which stood on the site of a federal life saving station originally built in 1900. At its peak the club drew thousands of party goers from around Long Island and New York City and hosted world-renowned DJs. The club became notorious for intrusive loud music, public intoxication, and dangerous crowds, ultimately leading to its closure in 2014.
